At our Tangalooma Respite Camp, we've tailored the program to cultivate independence and practical life skills in young teenage girls. Campers are encouraged to actively participate in meal preparation and clean-up, and take care of their personal spaces, promoting a sense of responsibility and teamwork.

Upon reaching the Island by ferry, a variety of outdoor adventures await. The girls will embark on a desert safari across the island's striking sand dunes and experience the thrill of tobogganing. They'll have the opportunity to interact closely with dolphins, feeding them at the shore and learning about the marine life and ecosystems of the island. Snorkelling to observe the fascinating sea wrecks, vibrant corals, and local fish will provide an immersive nature experience.

We integrate recreational activities such as beach volleyball, tennis, and badminton to encourage teamwork and sportsmanship in a lively environment. Drama activities in the evenings are crafted to enhance creativity and confidence, as the girls work together to create and perform their own stories. Gathering around the campfire at night to roast marshmallows and share stories is the heart of camp life, creating moments that turn into lasting friendships.

We’re devoted to creating a secure and enriching environment where your children can thrive. This camp is an ideal chance for them to strengthen life skills, build self-esteem, make lasting memories, and forge new friendships. Balancing structured activities with free play, our Allied Health Assistants and Support Workers facilitate a space where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand.
