Early Intervention Support Services

AHA sessions

At EISS, our Allied Health Assistants implement various therapeutic supports for children under the guidance of our Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Speech Therapists

A typical therapy session with our Allied Health Assistants involves completing various therapeutic intervention methods that align with a child's individual goals, outlined by their lead Allied Health Professional. Sessions can be conducted at home, school, childcare, or in the community and are often utilised when repetition of a specific task or activity is necessary.

Our AHA's are passionate about supporting children in reaching their goals and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in professional paediatric allied health supports.

Why do our families choose to have AHA?

Many of our families choose to access Allied Health Assistants as a valuable and practical addition to their therapeutic journey.

Sessions are a cost-effective support, allowing families to arrange sessions that are not only more frequent, but also typically longer than those with speech therapists, occupational therapists, or psychologists.

This extended time in sessions, paired with the added regularity, can help fast-track children's progress towards their goals and reduce the need for families to complete therapy homework outside of their sessions.

While working alongside the child's lead therapist, our AHAs tailor each session to incorporate the interests, needs, and goals of each child.
