Kids aged 7-12 ready for fun and adventure!
At our Tangalooma Respite Camp, we've carefully combined fun activities with practical learning opportunities designed to promote independence and daily living skills among our young campers. Guided by our team, children will take part in collaborative tasks such as setting tables, cleaning up, helping with cooking, and managing their personal spaces and belongings, including packing their bags for the day's activities. These responsibilities are a core part of camp life, encouraging self-sufficiency and highlighting the value of working together.

The adventure begins with a peaceful ferry ride, offering breathtaking views as we travel to the island. There, children will have the opportunity to feed dolphins at the water's edge and learn about local marine life and its ecosystem. Children will also get to explore sunken sea wrecks through our snorkelling outing, where they will also develop gross motor skills through practising swimming and floating. Back on land, we will explore the island through an exhilarating ride across the sand dunes, exploring the island's landscapes on a desert safari tour.

Other activities in store include outdoor sports like beach volleyball, tennis, and badminton, offering a relaxed atmosphere to learn about teamwork and have some friendly competition. As the evening comes around, we encourage children to engage in drama activities, creating and performing their own stories in a supportive environment that fosters creativity and new experiences. When the night arrives, gathering around the campfire to roast marshmallows becomes the perfect time for laughter and building friendships.

We’re devoted to creating a secure and enriching environment where your children can thrive. This camp is an ideal chance for them to strengthen life skills, build self-esteem, make lasting memories, and forge new friendships. Balancing structured activities with free play, our Allied Health Assistants and Support Workers facilitate a space where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand.
