What are respite camps?

At Early Intervention Support, we are thrilled to offer dedicated 2-night respite camps designed specifically for Queensland-based families during each school holiday period. Our camps are expertly crafted to cater to the unique needs and interests of teenage girls, boys, and younger children, providing a supportive and engaging environment for all.

Our respite camps are not just about having fun, they're about growth, learning, and development. We foster each child's social and developmental skills through various enriching activities. Children will immerse themselves in experiences that emphasise cultural awareness, environmental appreciation, and outdoor adventures, all while building essential life skills such as:

  • Increasing their independence through engaging in cooking activities, managing and preparing their belongings, and participating in leadership tasks.

  • Developing resourcefulness by facing new challenges and finding creative solutions.

  • Building self-esteem through teamwork and collaborative activities, promoting a sense of achievement and belonging.

Staying Connected at Camp

Being apart from your child can be challenging, so we ensure that families are well-informed and connected throughout the camp experience. Before the camp, families will receive comprehensive information packs, including what to pack, detailed safety guidelines, and a full schedule of the camp's activities. During the camp, you'll receive daily updates and photos, allowing you to see your child's progress and their experiences.
